HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT
FROM OTHER AGENTS THAT HELP BUYERS, THAT SHOW HOUSES OR THAT

HOW DOES THE BUYER'S AGENT
GET PAID?
- There are several ways The Buyer's Agent of St. Louis
West can be paid for representing you. Most buyers choose
to compensate us the same way that other real estate agents
are paid, by including our fee in the purchase price of
the home, which is covered by the home loan. It costs no
more to hire an Exclusive Buyer's Agent. If we get you a
lower price, and we usually do, it costs you less. For further
information, go to our How We Get Paid
page. [TOP]
WITH THE WEB, WHY DO WE
NEED A BUYER'S AGENT?
- If you're serious about finding a home, websites can
waste hours of your time. Why? They're out of date. You
could spend hours following up on unavailable homes and
miss the dream home that just came on the market. The Buyer's
Agent of St. Louis West relies entirely on the Multiple
Listing Service (MLS). The MLS requires that all listings
be kept up to date or agents are fined. The Web has no such
requirements. [TOP]

FOR SALE BY OWNER DURING THE TIME THE AGENCY AGREEMENT IS
IN EFFECT?
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE
AGENCY AGREEMENT EXPIRES?
- If the agency agreement expires, your Buyer's Agent will
give you a list of all the homes she/he has shown or offered
to show you. Should you purchase one of these homes within
the following 180 days, then you would be required to pay
The Buyer's Agent 3% of the purchase price in cash at time
of closing. [TOP]
